Welcome, TheButtonFactory presents to you ‘Pluto Exhibition’. Step into the world of Joe Pluto, a boundary-pushing artist from Auckland. He has previously exhibited at Te Ahu Gallery in 2022, and at The Button Factory in 2024.
Born in Durban, South Africa, Joe’s work spans paintings, sculptures, tattoos, digital designs, and more. Each piece is a spontaneous expression of freedom and balance.
These stunning artworks will be available for display beginning on the 6th of February.
Artistic Statement: I like to create on impulse. If perfection is a blank canvas, anything added is a mistake. It’s all organised chaos, nothing makes sense until it does, everything at the right time, everything for a reason. I enjoy experimenting with different mediums and media, always looking for something new. I like to be surprised. Creation is endless. So is death. Everything is balance, everybody is a perspective. I like to be inspired by my own mind, nature and how I perceive the world. Humanity is interesting, sometimes you have to take a step back to see the bigger picture, sometimes you have to get real close, and sometimes it’s at an angle. It doesn’t make sense, until it does, and you won’t understand, until you do. Life is an experience, a soul trapped in skeleton wrapped in flesh, with feelings, senses and emotions. So unique. So obscure. So beautiful. Choose love, choose life. Pluto till I die. I love you!
