Moon Goose: 'On the Island Where our Shadows Lie' EP release tour

Aotearoa-based folk duo Moon Goose are excited to embark on their first tour in April 2025, bringing their debut EP On the Island, Where our Shadows Lie to audiences across the motu. The tour will showcase their enchanting blend of Celtic-inspired folk music, featuring both traditional songs from the British Isles and original compositions that celebrate nature, friendship, and the timeless spirit of folk music.

To kick off the tour, Holly Dove and Britta Hamill invite you to join them for a cosy evening of music, stories and magic in collaboration with The Button Factory, with support from the incredible Fables.

About Moon Goose

Starting out as a humble couple of music-making pals, Moon Goose are realising their powers. These strangely adorable creatures will warm your heart with their intricate harmonies, deep folk-scapes and glittering songs.

Get ready to be swept away by stories of magic and mystery as Holly Dove (from folk duo Ys on guitar, vocals and Celtic whistle), together with Britta Hamill (violin and vocals), share songs collected from travels around England and Scotland, weaving them together with their own music.

Moon Goose makes music to dream and dance to, making room for brightness and darkness as they take you on a journey dedicated to luminous places and bowing deep to the world. Their music will move you deep and good.

About Fables

At the heart of Auckland’s music scene lies Fables, an ensemble guided by the evocative voice of Jessica Bailey. Their sound elegantly marries traditional folk with the nuances of Americana and country, drawing comparisons to the likes of Gillian Welch and Laura Marling.

Fables craft songs that blend personal introspections with enduring themes, inviting you into a world that is richly textured and touched with melancholy. They offer a space where tender moments and powerful sentiments are seamlessly woven together.Their music is a synthesis of open tunings and lush, dynamic instrumentation. Bailey’s songwriting delves into the nuances of human experience, delivering narratives rich in detail and feeling, leaving an indelible mark on listeners.
