Art and Culture as Forms of Resistance

A THREE-DAY WEEKEND IMMERSION

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata he tangata he tangata.

Nau mai haere mai, mrhbaan, welcome.

Come be in a space that strengthens solidarity, and continues to foster relationships amongst those of us who care deeply for Palestine. Brought to you by the organisers of the Gaza Dialogues and Make art not War, the Festival of Sumud will offer a three day immersion of art and culture as forms of resistance. We must care for ourselves and one another to continue to stand strong.

Starting on Friday 20th Dec with a powhiri and kai leading into live music until midnight. Then experience two full days of workshops from banner painting, yoga, dabke through to kapa haka. With food, tea and coffee, art, reading nooks and live music every night. Closing with a together with food donated from local restaurants on Sunday night.
