Winter Solstice: The Eternal Song. An evening of ancestral wisdom, connection, film and sound.

Join us on June 22nd for a special viewing of The Eternal Song, a powerful film exploring ancestral knowledge and the deep sentience of Mother Earth.

This 5-hour gathering will include:
*A screening of The Eternal Song
*Talks with special guests featured in the film
*A shared meal and open-hearted discussion
*A transformative sound journey to close the evening

Master Practitioner Rongoā Māori

Awhitia Mihaere

Awhitia (Ngāti Kahungunu) is an Indigenous Master Practitioner of Rongoā Māori and a traditional birther. Born in Tokoroa she was guided into te ao Mārama by her grandmother

Today she is a mother, grandmother, healer, Tohunga Ruahine of Haputanga’ Rongoā, Kaiako of Rongoā, and a facilitator of Ho’oponopono. Awhitia has traveled internationally and brought Rongoā Māori into many places to uplift, energize, and heal. She is supported by Mana whenua Ngati Paoa, Ngai Tai, Marutuahu, and Ngati Whaatua ki Kaipara.
Composer, Musician and Astrologist

Kāren Hunter

Kāren Hunter is a New Zealander of primarily Cornish / Irish descent. She works through the fields of Astrology and Music to contribute to the present awakening of humanity.

As a musician Kāren offers workshops, lessons, performances, sound journeys and assists in various ceremonial spaces. Karen is also a consulting astrologer and combines these two passions into a podcast called ‘Astro Musical Interventions’.

Kāren’s soundscapes draw from her deep well of experience through ; medicine songs, looper, guitar, voice, mandolin, drum, jaw harp and flute.

Kāren is a diverse and eclectic composer. Each album in her collection has it’s own atmosphere and you can find rootsy songs, celtic dub, spoken word to ambient music.
