Cults, Religion & Spiritual Trauma: Examining Fundamentalism

This workshop examines types of High-Demand,  High-Control and Fundamentalist groups, giving an opportunity to recognise potential ‘cultic’ aspects in organisations you know. We will look at possible effects on participants, & recovery considerations.

If you think that you, or someone you know, might be affected by such a group, religion or spiritual experience, attending this workshop could be a good starting point to examine that.

The workshop is followed by an optional additional drawing session where you can reflect on the effects of your own personal religious and spiritual experiences.

Beth St Claire is a registered psychotherapist specialising in trauma, abuse, identity, dissociation, and recovery from cults and high-demand groups. She brings both professional training and lived experience of fundamentalist religion, cult involvement, and LGAT environments.

Beth contributes to international cult-focused working groups, provides clinical supervision, and runs online and in-person support groups for people recovering from cult, religious, and spiritual trauma.
