Discover the joy of West African drumming in this welcoming six-week course led by experienced percussionist Jimi Dale.

Whether you’ve never touched a drum before or you’re looking to build confidence playing with others, this course will introduce you to the rich traditions of djembe and dundun ensemble drumming. Together you’ll learn authentic West African rhythms, develop timing and listening skills, and experience the energy that comes from making music as a group.

African drumming is as much about connection as it is technique. Expect a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where learning happens through participation, repetition, and plenty of fun. Don’t be surprised if the rhythms get you moving—dancing is always welcome.
