Beginner to Intermediate Shibari Classes

About Auckland Shibari Studio

Auckland Shibari Studio (ASS) has been building a welcoming beginner-to-intermediate rope community for over a year. Our weekly classes offer a supportive space to explore Japanese-inspired rope, connection, and creative expression—whether you’re tying solo or with a partner.

You’ll learn:

  • Foundational ties for yourself and others

  • Safe rope handling and body awareness

  • How rope fosters trust, presence, and communication

  • Rope as sensation, structure, and experience—not just restraint
