Creative Wellbeing Studio

The Creative Wellbeing Studio is a series of supportive, playful workshops for adults to explore creativity and wellbeing, cultivating connection and community. Workshops are fortnightly on Tuesdays from 28th July – 22nd September (both morning and early afternoon sessions available) and are run by multidisciplinary artist and creative arts therapist Virginia Frankovich.

The emphasis is on the creative process rather than producing a finished product, inviting participants to reconnect with their innate creativity as a tool for enhancing wellbeing, and offering creative wellbeing tools that can be integrated into everyday life. Workshops interweave movement, multi-modal artmaking (including visual and dramatic arts) and mindfulness. Participants will also be given space to share and reflect with one another followed by the sharing of tea and biscuits as a way to transition back into the remainder of their day.

No previous artmaking experience is necessary. Participation is subsidised thanks to the support of Auckland Council Creative Communities Scheme and Creative New Zealand.

Entry is by koha and registration is essential.
